Do I have to pay tax if I order from you?
It’s your responsibility to pay duties and taxes when conducting international transactions. Duties and taxes are determined with the declared value of an item and the de minimis value, a country-specific value below which no duty or tax is charged.
Often there’s no such a charge. But it sometimes happens a customer will be charged duties and taxes. However, there’s no worries for unframed items. 98% of our paintings arrive untaxed.
For framed items, especially large ones, duties and taxes may be levied. Customs policies vary from country to country. If you are not sure, please consult your local post office or shipping carrier.
For American customers
If you are located in the United States, the taxes and duties charged on handmade paintings (HS Code 6117.00.0000), framed or unframed, are zero. So usually you don’t need to pay taxes and duties.
For very large orders, if it’s the first time you do international trade, please consult your local authorities.
Could you help if my goods are stuck at the customs?
Sure. We’d like to offer any document should it help.
Do I need special knowledge in order to import from you?
No. It’s usually easy to import goods, especially for small and medium sized orders. The courier or freight company will take care of the whole clearance for you.
